Now come on, don't go to the URL of the photo to see, where does this emblem go?

One of my friends posted a photo of this emblem on the car it comes on and I was surprised, never remember seeing one. Thought it would be a good question.

Yeah I found that out once when someone did that. This is why I will copy the photo to my computer and re-name it before I post.

Good idea. I really don't care so much about winning. It is just plain interesting to find some of these things out. I really got sucked into 35window's engine. After about 2 hours of searching my sweet and rosey disposition was just about shot. It finally occurred to me that if I was patient someone else would give me the answer.

You know what's funny on that inline six I thought about both the Diesel and the injection and discounted the Diesel because I saw the spark plugs but would be just guessing on the injection so I didn't toss that out. That is damn cool though couldn't do anything else but guess.

True enough Brian. My neighbor used to have an old John Deere tractor. It started on gasoline but once it was running it would change over to kerosene and run as a diesel. Some of the old stuff is amazing.

Good morning all. Just back from showing one of my dogs all weekend. That emblem fits on the glove box door of a 58 Chebby.
Brian , I don't know to back track a picture to the source.
I have dim memories of junk floating in the dusty clogs and folds of my brain pan from years of car shows, working experience and just not being able to forget unimportant stuff. If I can get a glimmer of recognition I know where to start.

It's an Auburn? I don't ever remember seeing one like that. What museum is it in?

Yep, it's a Auburn. It's the Auburn Cabin Speedster. Basically this is a Auburn concept cat built for the 1929 Los Angeles Auto Show ( big deal show ). Thirty minutes after the shows opening the place caught fire and burnt 340 cars to the ground. This is a replica that is located at the Auburn Cord Dusenburg Museum in Auburn IN. Great Museum! Last time I was there I was the only one in the place and had a guide almost the entire time.
Good for you Brian, you found the hidden clue.

WOW, what a story! I have to say, it's easy to complain about building codes and all that but when you see something like that, we have to be thankful for those codes.

Are you giving me the floor?
