OK last shot
1969 ZL-1, All Aluminum L88 Engine, factory built, ordered through a dealership, total production -----------2!

There actually about 7 1969 ZL-! vettes built but most were COPO cars. Only two actually were sold to the public.

Interesting fact. There were no ZL-1 Camaro's sold to the public. They were all COPO cars because Chevy had a rule that nothing over 400hp could be sold to the public unless it was in a Corvette.

Cool fact, Cole. Love to find one in a barn, but odds are all are accounted for. Building a duplicate just for personal use (not resale) would be cool, too.

Trivia thread

Every car especialy back in the good ole days was ordered through a dealership, some years there were as many as five different horsepower ratings of a 350 offered. The ZL1 option was as standard as ordering air conditioning. The ZL1 option itself was around $4,300.00 but in order to get it you also had to order heavy duty brakes, about $48.00 and heavy duty fron and rear suspension another $40. something dollars for a total of around $11,000.00 not so much but the average cost of a three bedroom home was also about $11 grand so only two were ordered, wish I could say I ordered one but I had the hots for a Hugger orange Z28!

Trivia thread

If you mean who owns them now I have no idea. It was our Sunday to spend with my Dad all day which made for a very enjoyable day and after wining the big trophy yesterday with my old school hot rod over several $100,000.00 cars and most of the other entrants had paint jobs that cost more than I spent total on my truck.
Bothboy why haven't you ask the next question?

Trivia thread

Brian you must have been away yesterday last night and this morning because you didn't make a stab at my question I don't think.Everyone was all around it but not correct. Boothboy has the floor but hasn't asked a question yet. If you quit going to reference material the quality of questions will go down and no one will learn anything new by looking things up.

My question was who is in the picture. Not who owns them now.

I know both the cars very well, in fact my brother sold a number of motor parts for Ivo's T when it was restored.
