He's talking 3 or 4 years down the line. Ain't bad enough yet.

I'm going to re-post my question. I left out a word.

What was the first U.S. production automobile that featured a supercharged, fuel injected engine? Come on guys, how about somebody else jumping in here

Well nobody coughed up a answer so here it is. The first American produced supercharged fuel injected car was 1962 Oldsmobile Jetfire. If you don't beleive me just watch this technical film. You can tell by her expression that it's really working.

I didn't know and really didn't know where to start looking, I didn't know that Olds was for sure! I was clueless I honestly thought it was something in the eighties.

So here's a question, what is this a photo of?

Damn don't push me on hints yet. Yes it is a vehicle you have seen many times and nothing is open, you see it just as it is in the picture when it is driving down the road. I took this photo (the Hobbit) at the Goodguys.

This is a hard one you need to give a year range I am thinking because something like 1918 they may not have (roadsters but not convertibles) then in the eighties, what happened in the then? GM discontinued convertibles all together in what, 77? Then they were having conversion companies do them? Then they started making them again? This is a toughie.

I'm sorry, Prior to 1976 when all mfr quit and after 1928 when cabriolets came into common being.

I assume the war years would also be excluded-42 thru 45.

Correct. Did not think about the war years. It was one regular production year.
