As a design study a American automobile company had this car built by Ghia of Italy. What was the American car was it based on. Year and model.

I thought it look familiar but didn't remember where I had seen it. With a little search I came up with a 1967 Baracuda! I would have never done it without Google but I had an idea at least.

Yes that's what it is. If it makes you feel any better I can't really see Barracuda in it. Perhaps if they were side by side. Lovely car though.

What year is this Camaro and how do I know if it was built early in the year or late in the year? And by the way, this was a pretty original car with only a few signs of any paint work, it was VERY nice and worth a friggin mint!

It's a 69 Z28. Production date on or after April 1, 1969

Ok tell me where I'm wrong. It has 69 tail lights on it. It has the correct rear bumper guards on it for a z28 It's badged as a z28. It has the wider spoiler on it which was switched from the narrower one on or after April 1 1969. The 69 production year ran longer because there were problems with the new 70 model. What am I missing?

Assuming this is a factory original car equipped as shown in your picture from the factory, it is a1969 z28 Camaro with a production date prier to April 1, 1969. For $250,000 Regis!

I'll give it to you, I don't know the April 1st date, all I know is it's an early car, it has a 68 spoiler.

April 1, 1969 was the day that the larger spoiler went into production before that date the shorter spoiler was used. The shorter spoiler was used on 67,68,and some 69's.
