Ok, I have one, what American car had a second emergency brake cable so if the master cyl failed and the pedal went down further it pulled the cable applying the rear brakes?

You know I actually knew this one. God knows why but I did. The Hudson and they used it for many years. I can't tell you when they first used it but I think in the twenties.

I'm thinking this is from a Cord. Around 1937 I believe.

I worked on 2 Grahams last year had the supercharged script like that but the trim was different on both models so Im throwing out a guess its a Graham, But I really thought it was a cord by the trim.

If its not a Cord or a Graham Ill take a stab at Hupmobile because they took over Cord and tried to continue the line the only reason I know that about Hup is I worked at "Antique Motor Car" in the 70s and an old guy that worked for hup used to tell the old story's every day at lunch how Hup built a better Cord then Cord LOL I wont guess any more Im really stumped and I dont want to do a search for it !! Thats not fun!!!

Nope not a Hupmobile either. I'll give you a hint. The vehicle was manufactured Indiana. Of course there were 117 different cars manufactured in Indiana. Go ahead and goggle it. I learn a more about the subject other than answers and usually lots of other information about similar subjects.
Here's a interesting fact I'll bet you didn't know. In order to make the roof of a Cord 812 Beverly Sedan, 26 pieces of metal were used.

Chris Is heck getting old isn't it? Script moves all around on side panels, hair starts thinning, more skid marks in your shorts then you remember as a younger man. Take a look at this 1935 Auburn 851 Speedster. It's pretty nice.

Ask a good one! BB
