All right Brian which one is it? No life or a big brain? How did you recognize the Tucker? Do you know which model it is? Good job! I knew I should have shown the gear shifter picture!

I am a mental case, I knew exactly what it was the second I saw it! And I would have known the shifter too!
Hold on for a little bit here on the question. Brian |

Air conditioning ducts from the trunk mounted evaporator. Looks like the sail panel of about a 53 Lincoln. three reasons for the ducting. Evaporators were to big for the under dash installation. The rear passenger might block the air flow going forward. And finally no to freeze the ears off the unfortunate person sitting in front of the duct.

Can you tell us the size of that flex tube I cant see real well on the computer! Maybe set a quarter next to it and retake the picture? It looks like exhaust flex pipe if its large like on cut outs or old super chargers?and if its small also exterior metal protective electric wire flex tubeing ( like what went to old tail lights and head lights.?

It's a after market road draft tube. I've never seen one like this either but that's what it is. Somebody's better idea. And for those that arn't familier with what a road draft tube is they were standard on all cars up until about 1962-63. Their purpose was to suck fumes and gasses from the crankcase. They were done away with when engine manufactures were mandated to no longer pollute the planet. That's when PCV valves cam into play. Basicly the first form of smog control.
Chris you were the only brave soul to venture a answer so why don't you ask a question? |
