The difference is pretty clear as to before and after the road draft tubes! Look at the black stripe under the cars from the fifties.

I thought about leaving mine on the Rambler but just couldn't do it, it is the ONLY update to the motor. It has a PVC now.

They were done away with when engine manufactures were mandated to no longer pollute the planet. That's when PCV valves cam into play. Basicly the first form of smog control.
Chris you were the only brave soul to venture a answer so why don't you ask a question?

MAN I was going to say that on my first post but then thought you wouldn't put anything that easy on here!!! And it looks like it was brazed or welded where the flex tube goes on instead of the original pipe It threw me off If only I could have enlarged it !!! Well lunch is over be on later.

1978 Buick Regal and La Sabre, Porsche 930 and Saab 600 although the Saab was actually a Fiat Lancia Delta. Had we been talking about Blower cars I think we could have found more than four cars factory equipped in the 30's. I knew the American cars had to be Olds, Corvair, or Buick. Porsche was a good probability but I had to hunt down the Saab. Never thought much about Saabs.

Don't be rediculous! Hugh's younger brother Wally, (a geologist and flute player) does'nt look anything like that. Although the man in the car does look a little like Hugh's Aunt Mildred.
