Nope

No Brian, The '57 Cameo used a chromed center cap with a chrome trim ring.

Naw

Another hint; In a way, it had something to do with a change in the way Gm attached their wheel covers.

OK, let's clarify whether we are talking about Hub Caps or Wheel Covers.

Clarifications

Review:
1956 Chevrolet Belair "wheel covers" were used on another vehicle. What was it?

Hint#1; Not a '56 Cameo.

Hint#2; The General(GM) used them on something else.

Hint#3; Not a '56 Nomad.

Hint#4; Think recycled.

Hint#5; Not a '57 Cameo

Hint#6; Not a Corvette.

Hint#7; In a way, it had something to do with a change in the way that GM attached their wheel covers.

Hint#8; Not yet, I'll let ya'll think about it. Google all you want. Someone will figure it out.

You mentioned the way the caps were attached.i know 57 thru 69 had 14 inck wheels 55 & 56 were 15 so it had to be 56 or older and 55 and 56 had bulges around outside rim to hold on hubcap,so they would not stay on anything else unless they used 15 in,chevy wheels so that should narrow it down ,but i dont know the answer.

Since the covers have Bow Ties on them I would assume we are still talking a Chevrolet vehicle. Is 1956 the first year they were used?
