Brian is correct. I have a Red Monza 4 speed convertible that has been in my buddy's shed since 1976. It would make a fun project but the value of them was destroyed by Nador and never did come back. It would cost more to build the car than it is worth when done. I would doubt the car will bring 1000 dollars.

The suspension was redesigned in 1965 to the double u-joint style.

Here's another Corvette question.
Why did the majority of the 55's handle better than the 54's?

Well as it turns out they did go from a 6.00 to a 6.70 in tire width but that's not what I'm looking for. Both 54 and 55 had front sway bars. Also there was one othet change concerning tires. In 55 they went to tubeless. All the dimensions were the same, wheel base , tracking, body width, height and length.
Still not what I'm looking for.

The weight did play into it but a lower CG isn't the right answer.
