Well I can certainly see by adding this little gem, people passing by would spot it and exclaim, "Holy Crap! It's breathtaking!"
I'm going to have to get me one for my ride.

This is a exterior part and it only took one to complete the look. Correct?

I blew up the image and looked at the reflection in the ratchet.
Following the wood grain for reference.
Just to see if it looked cast, which it dose, and you can see something underneath like a clip, it's hard to tell.
Totally pixillated...

loohs like a convertible top latch but that would not be an acc, so im still thinking.

Light indicator

Looks like the fender mounted lamp indicator housing that I had on my old Riviera. They lit with different colors to indicate turn signals, high beams, etc.
