Darn kids! BEFORE there was Batman on tv (using the Lincoln Concept/ Barris customized Batmobile ) there were periodicals call Comic Books. Batman was concieved in 1939 (same year as Superman) in Detective Comics by Bob Kane.
Batman zipped to crime scenes in a Sharknosed Graham.
Nuun na na na nuun na na na Batman!!

That was the reason i was asking ,I did not know but i knew some one would know i wasnt doubting BB i was asking .also didnt know about batman in the 40s that was not one of my favorites dont think i ever wached over 10 minutes of show.i saw an interveiw wthj George Barris/Barry Maguire a couple weeks ago he mechoned Batmobile , Coffin ,Munstercoach, only reason i rembered the Linclon. If it was Tick a licker or Sky king i would have remembered.

When you have a memory like mine (kinda like the closet that everything gets dumped into, never to be seen again) stuff like this sometimes appears.
Don't even get me started about Winky Dink or J. Fred Muggs!

I believe I saw every episode of the TV series. I still love seeing the bat mobile flying out of the cave with that dead end sign folding down for it to run over it,,, GO BAT MAN GO!

And it cracks me up that Barris takes credit for the batmobile. For goodness sakes it was designed by the Ford Styling studio and Barris simply ruined that beautiful work of art with some cartoon crap. But he stands by it proudly in the photos like he designed it, funny stuff.

Was it a Maxwell? Jerry Van Dyke ( Dick's brother) played the son and I think Mother's voice was Ann Southren. The voice came through the radio.
