When did Ford switch over to an Alternator from a Generator?

I recall GM used them in 1955 (a year before Ford) though at least the Chrysler Imperial had an alternator in 1954

Unless you can show some documentation, you are WAY off. I am a body guy, so this is a little out of my knowledge zone, but I am REAL certain of year a long way from those!

I think ford started with the alternator in late 64 or 65.
