That was a pretty good guess.

My wife says you're half right - but it's not psychIC - it's psychO

I just thought that something that heavily built, on top of such a heavy vehicle, had to be something sorta heavy duty - and given that era......

Let's see what I can come up with......

I'll try to post a poser tomorrow

Its my wife who says I'm psycho but not psychic. She says if I was psychic, I'd be "more in tune with...." but anyone who spends THAT much time looking at old cars must be psycho

Question

With all the attention being paid to female racing drivers such as Milka Duno, Danica Patrick and others, lets look at where this all started

Who is generally accepted as having been the first successful female racing driver in the US?

Janet Guthrie would be my guess.

Janet was the subject of a LOT of media attention, but she was not the first...

Probably your refering to Joan Newton Cuneo - she took part in the famous Glidden Cup 1000-mile reliability tour in the USA in 1905. She won some of the Mardi Gras races and received many medals for her performances in speed and endurance events. Her participation was ended when women were banned from competition in the States in 1909.
Good old Joan! I believe she raced under the nickname "The Newt"

You're kidding! If not, I gotta tell you I researched it. The "Newt" is pretty obscure!
Maybe you ought to ask another.

The TV Show "Route 66" was inspired by a previous TV show

What was the name of that TV show and what was the vehicle featured in that previous TV show?
