Bingo! Lincoln had introduced their Mark II's in 56 and Cadillac brought out something fancier. The glove compartment contained a fold-out shelf with mirror, matched set of magnetized silver tumblers (which cost thousands if you can even find them now), cigarette case, tissue dispenser, lady's compact, unique lipstick and Arpege cologne in a special atomizer. Every conceivable option was available. . New they cost $13,100 standard Caddy went for $4500. A Chevy cost $2000 Supposedly they loss $10,000 on each unit. Times must have been pretty good!

A guy I use to work with was working for a Cadillac dealership back East when these were new. Apparently the cars were shipped by rail in a special box car, two or three to a car. When they were shipped the batteries were pulled from the Cars and placed in a special rack. When Stan went to the railyard to pick up the dealers car he found that the batteries had come loose during the trip and had played havoc with all the units! Acid, dents, you name it! Must have been a costly mess.

TMP it's yours.

Here's a quick one while everyone's thinking up their next question. Most of you guys probably use this tool on a daily basis. I know you've got one in the bottom of you tool box.
What is it and what do you do with it?
Hint: It's made by Snap-on
