Ecklers Corvette has them listed A3313 ,1963 only $499
and the 1964 and 1965 same part #A3305 for $299
And 1966-1967 the same part # A9848 $ 299.
So I learned something today,,as many of these cars I have owned never knew that.

I believe it's just the emblem that is different 64-65 and 66-67. But the 63 is completely different, just for added points, what is so different about it?

It's your floor 496, but wondering if you want the bonus points, what is so different about the 63 glove box door?

I have owned several of these cars I remember the 63 speedometer had a lense that was cone shaped and the needle was also .but I don't remaeber the glove box being different ,the only thing I could think of would be mabe the 63 was cast ,because of price difference ,the one on the 65 on my avatar has sheetmetal dash with an aluminum panel, and the outer edge is simulated vinyl ,but it is metal also,,

I would guess cast metal..

They do appear to be different but I don't know what the difference is . unless it is 63 is flat 64-67 have a lip that rolls under where the screws attach.

The picture you posted is of a 1963 only unless it's a reproduction door. The scratches show that it is made of plastic (the door's backing was fiber glass). 1964 and later used a door made of sheet metal and pot metal. There was a warping problem with some of the 63's. The door script was used 63-65 and then it changed.

Yep BB, the 63 door was basically a big plastic emblem with a fiberglass backing! The rest of the years were stamped sheetmetal backing with a pot metal front and stainless sheet where the pot metal emblem goes.

It's your floor 496.

Here is the back side of the front of the 63 door, literally like the plastic emblem I want to make.

Here is a 64-67 dissembled with the pot metal front.

Ok, we need a question here so I am going to toss one out. I can't think of one other than I believe was one of the first ones I ever asked in this thread. It popped into my head as I was trying to come up with something just now. Don't cheat and go looking, its' a good one.

In the Chevy Nova with a V8 in 1965 (don't know about earlier years of the same body style) the SBC block that they put in them was literally a different casting than the small blocks they put in other cars, what was the difference?

I think the clutch linkage socket was different. Makes it jarder to put a late model engine in one of the earlier Nova's if you want to run a standard trans.

You guys, you each have one of the items, there is another that I know of, BB, what was different about that oil filter? And the other item is changed the same way. I know this because my best friend (RIP Mark) had a 65 with a 283 and we put a four bolt main 350 with a truck TH350 (what was that called, huh? It had an extra clutch!) in it. That sucker HAULED!
