Wow, they are missing HOW these bolts hold the tank in! They are NOT simply "bolted" in. Wow, I thought this was going to be too easy.

Are you referring to the "C" clamps on the sides, that hold the bottom of the tank in place?

Jeeze, Brian - you saw the pic of my '28 sitting on the far side of my '57 Chev, (which is covered in "stuff" in the garage) and if you had any idea how much effort (work) it would take for me to go back out there and have a "boo"....... (yes it's a resto-rod, with stock tank feeding the horses) Its been way TOO long (over 20 years since I put that thing together) to remember how I did it......

(Of course I s'pose I COULD just go look it up in my Model A manuals)

1958 Mercury but you have to watch out with your photos. That's a photo bucket photo.I clicked on it to get it bigger and it went to your account and there was the photo next to that one un-edited.

Ask another...

I don't know the answers but I will bet it was because of a lawsuit do to a door opening and a death. I am racking my brain as to the year, am thinking early sixties, let' say 1963.

Brian, you're probably right on the reason why it was changed, that was more of a curiosity question as I have never heard or found a definite answer. The year was not 63, or based on what I have found it wasn't.
