After doing a little research it appears that the entire GM Line had the rear Window Wiper as a Dealer installed option possibly as early as 1942.

Well I guess it's my floor.

What car first referred to itself as a convertible? What year?

Wow!!!! It refers to itself as a .....?
A talking, self-aware car?
I'm thinking maybe George Jetson drives it?
(Sorry Bob- couldn't resist!)

Think Knight Rider. Or maybe Jerry's Porter!

BB

Side note: Jerry;s "Porter was actually a 1924 Model T owned by propman Kaye Trapp. Trapp bought the car from who? Norm Grabowski. Grabowski had first used it in a film called "Sex Kittens Go to College" Trapp leased the car to the studio after and fellow propman, Norm Breedlove turned the T tub into a 28 Porter. Where have we heard that name before? norm was Craig Breedlove's father. Now here's the interesting part. The "Porter" (Model T) was not named after the real Porter automobile, but was named after the show's production manager, W. A. Porter. Who everybody agreed was a pain in the butt.

Now this has absolutely nothing to do with the original trivia question but as you can see it's pretty trivial.

If we are talking American then as everyone knows that would be the 1904 Thomas Flyer.
And in 1910 Thomas Flyer drove around the world in what we know as "The Great Race" New York to Paris.
