I had a simular car in 69. There were hundreds of options on the Z/28.
My car had all the goodies, difference to this car being an endura body color front bumper and non hide away headlights.. Hated that front curb catcher spoiler. Had to replace it twice,, Also car was very HEAVY,,

I did a little research on the origion of the use of"Z" in Chevy's history and found more than one reference stating that indeed Chevy used "Z" as to pay homage to Zora Duntov.

But I never found anything from Chevy stating this.

More like a starter or a starter/generator like they used to use on some cars in the early days but this looks different somehow

Dave you have it, it's a starter AND a generator. It's a 1920 Dodge, it's your floor.

David! Didn't your mother say "If you can't say something nice about somebody then talk behind their backs while they are not looking and full speed ahead but keep your powder dry and Viva Las Vegas!"
That's what my mother always said (Mom did drink a little.)

LOL, that is the very first thing I thought! You slip a pipe over the round end for added leverage. I wasn't so much zeroing in on bumpers but just metal in general.

What was the first four door sedan made in America?
