You are probably talking about the Edsel ,they were built in 59 and all were not all sold so they were sold as 60 models,,and the wagons were even more cofusing there were 2 different body styles sold with the same name and year they were called villagers the sedans ,hardtop and convertibles were Pacer Ranger Citation Corsair and a couple others I think, ANY of these names sound fimilar, LOL I have heard some of the so called 60 had 59 serial # plates they went by production numbers to determine year,,NOT one of Fords better ideas;some one else can probably add to this

The 58 Ranger Concertible to me was a Beautiful car

I agree that '58 is a beautiful car.

Sounds like you know your Edsels, so if you say there is no difference between a '59 and a '60 model, I'll take your word for it, even though I can't find a picture of a '59 that looks the same as the '60 in the picture. For what it's worth, my Escape was built in '12 but it's still a '13.

Anyhoo, yes, one of the cars in the picture is a '60 Edsel, but the other is not a '55 Buick.

You are 3/4 correct, so far....

I will try to find a sit for specs and serial # if you are searching look at the wagon the sold2 completely different cars as the same year and same name I will try to find something.

it will be that the 60 and the 59 both look completely different as the 60 wer started production sept 14 1959 and STOPPED production in Oct 19 1959 and sold as 60 models all 216 units

I stand corrected.

It indeed IS a '55 Buick, that I had incorrectly identified as a '57.

Cool. I learn something new every time I visit HotRodders.com.

The best I could come up with regarding the differences between '59 and '60 Edsels are the two links below:

1959 Edsel
1960 Edsel

They sure had a ton of different models...

The floor is yours, 496CHEVY3100.

Tailfins say Plymouth.
Roof sez Imperial
C- pillar says its related to a Thunder-burp or a Mercury
Front end says it had an unfortunate relationship with something bigger & heavier - like a big truck (or else it was parked too close to a Lincoln)

I sorta suspect Virgil Exner was involved somehow......
