I was guessing I have heard F stood for fleet and the E stood for economy line

not econoline like the van,??

The F stood for either FARM or FORD originally was what I grew up with (depending on which crowd I was dealing with)

You have it Bruce. According to the F100 web site when Ford brought out the F series the designated it a farm series vehicle and F stood for farm.

She did indeed drive truck as well as a multitude of other vehicles. her job was a driver in the motor pool. Your floor BB.

On a GM product this item has a spific name. The Fisher Bros. named it such and made a big deal about in their bodies ventaltion system.
What is the proper name fot it?

Nope to both of them. Common names are vent wings, wind wings, side vents, vent window and more. But that ain't what Fisher Body calls them. They were involved in a big ad campaine in the 30's
