How wide is the opening on that shim?

The opening in the foot is about 1/4 ", the length of the "Feet" are about 3/8"
long and the screwdriver was just an old #2 Robertson that got bent. The hint is; Nothing to do with interior at all. Think mechanical.

Actually not many vehicles use this part. You would find it more often in a tow vehicle.
