(and today, the thought of blood isn't a good analogy as I opened a 2" gash on my hard head on the pin box of my 5th wheel camper yesterday - and you know how head dings can leak that sticky red stuff )

Ok here goes. If the second letter is an X on the Vin tag of a late 70's Pontiac Trans Am what special package is it?

What is "late 70's"? I found a number of different answers depending on the year!

It was used in 79 and 80 lets narrow it down to 79.
