Well no ones biting so I'll give you the answer. The builder was indeed Jim Lytie. Lytie had a thing for building cars with Allison engines. including the car Brian found " Big Al" ( which is the very first all fiberglass drag race body and is now in Don Garlits's Florida Museum). Tex Collins , cwner of Cal Automotive, bought most of Lytie's car and either showed them or raced them back in the 60's. The name of the car? Take one Allison aircraft engine and stick inside a BMW Isetta and you've got the Alsetta!
