How did I guess? Well the big red and white cylinder above the truck didn't look like part of the ceiling; and it was sitting on an antique flat car and there are what appear to be circus wagons on the right side of the pic, so I guessed human cannonball cannon.
Believe it or not, I have a vague recollection of seeing that cannon truck in use when the Barnum & Bailey Circus came to Minneapolis back before the turn of the century...when Pluto was a planet...when I was a little tyke (1978-79 or so).
Next question:
There's something very unusual about the front of the cannon truck too. What's 'incorrect' about that truck.
