This source is extremely full of crap! The 1964 1/2 Mustang was never offered with a V-6. It did however have a 170ci inline 6. The I-6 was not discontinued in 1965 although in 66 it was increased to 200 ci. One of the things that is confusing about the early Mustangs is that Ford actually never made a 1964 1/2 Mustang. And they did. All of the first Mustangs were designated 1965 but there were early 65's and late 65's. the early 65's were the 64 1/2's and the quickest way to identify them was they all had generators and they all had a rolled or beveled lip on the front of the hood. As you start researching this stuff you find that a lot of sites don't agree with each other. Whose right and whose wrong.? I just kind of go with the general consensus. Drives you nuts.
