We started a trivia thread over at another forum and it has been a lot of fun.
Here are the ground rules. It starts with one question. The first reply with the right answer gets the floor for a new question. It continues like that unless, A) the person who has the floor doesn't ask a new question, or B) no one gets the correct answer. In that case, the person with the floor asks a new question. No more than one question on the floor at a time, and discussion/clarification is welcome until the floor is taken over by a new question.
First question: In the 1952 Indy 500, what type of fuel was burned in the record-setting pole-position #28 car? Hint: it won pole position by a full 4 mph over the second-place Ferrari
I went to the "Sculpted in Steel" exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts - Houston. Fourteen cars from the 20s to the 40s including this one car I had never seen. Do you know what it is?

Grew up with a few kids who were spoilt by the parents a lot, including new cars for their 15 or 16 year old birthdays, NONE of them ever amounted to much. Imagine edsels life of luxury.
What is this Mercedes part I have posted a photo of, it's under the headlamp and a hilarious throw back! I haven't seen one of these on a car in over 45 years!
Nope! I know of one car with them, there are probably more, but I know of one late 60's car with them. And by the way, I forgot to mention, that is a photo of a 2016 Mercedes.
Internet not working but 2 days in last couple of weeks ,I hope I have it repaired
The answer to BB,s question is the Cadillac Fleetwood Brogham
,my aunt just bought a New one Monday with chrome bumpers ,,This is NOT it hers is white and have no photo.
Uhmmmm, that is a very lovely 1996 Caddy Brougham you've pictured and you say your Aunt is getting one just like it and the salesperson says its a 2015 just like it? Would either of you be interested in your own Bridge that I'm just about ready to post on EBAY?
Ths is the page I was using as a refrence,i don't know the years of Cadillac and havenot seen Marys 2016, so I don't know what it looks like,,
This will be my last post on the Hot Rod Forum sight as it is not worth the hassle of signing in everytime I make a post, have to go to the bottom of the page in the black area and give them your life history just to make a post .
it was not that way in the past and the adminnistrators just Ignore my request for help .

YEP! It's just like the "cocktail shaker" on a Camaro convertibles.
And in the rear.
The Mercedes is a convertible too! I was blown away when I called with the part number off the part to hear that they call it a "Vibration absorber." Mercedes is good for calling stuff mind blowing assinine names so was surprised when it was right on. By the way it's $505. It's your floor BB. Dave57210 had it in a PM first though.
