trouble finding a 31 ford pickup grill
Ive had a lot of trouble finding a grill for a 1931 Ford mod A pickup. the closest thing i have found is a leather bra type of thing that has straps on it to fix around the raditor housing that has a screen in its center to catch bugs and rocks. what im looking for is the grill itself or maby something close that can be modified to fit. have any of you guys dealt with this sort of thing original would bee cool if im that lucky or "new old stock"
Thanks

All the Ford Model 'A's did not have a grille. They had a radiator shell that left the finned area of the radiator exposed.
There are aftermarket 'shields' (rock guards) that cover the front of the radiator and the radiator shell. This may be what you are looking for. Check Mac's Antique Auto, Bratton's, and/or Snyders. They all carry the piece you need. Below is a photo and the part # from Mac's Antique Auto for the 1931 Model 'A'. Left click for a larger view. The part # is A18700C Last edited by Frisco; 02-02-2009 at 08:34 AM. |
