Trouble shooting help needed

I have a s10 with an LT1 drive-train. I just pulled it out of winter storage. It ran fine last fall. Now it cuts out when I hit the gas. It sounds like its backfiring through the air box. My first thought was MAF, so I swapped that out with the one from a 94' caprice 9c1. no improvement. Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks!

Yep.... more than likely stale gas....next time you store a vehicle...put fuel stabilizer in it. Drain out all the gas that you can.......change the fuel filter....put fresh gas in it mixed with a bottle of fuel system and injector cleaner.
