I recently bought a Van Air air dryer for my shop, It's a model RAD-100 ....It was hooked up to a working A/C and plugged in so i assumed it was a working unit, as it turns out, it's not :spank: So, me fix it :embarrass There appearers to be a control box of some type missing. I need a schematic, I have been to VA's URL, but no luck yet. also can i apply 110v. directly to the compressor and see if it cycles?? the compressor leads went to this missing box, so there just laying there right now.any one have a van-air dryer??? BTW I paid $40 for it so it's not a complete loss
Thanks for the lead.....so far I'm having difficulty getting the manual to download or even open so i can view it. But i will keep at it. This black box that i em missing is about 2x3". has three or four components in it, I have some symbols but no numbers and i can't figure what all the symbols stand for.
To buy the control panel might break your budget. Maybe you can find another one with the panel for parts. See if you can get the Van site link to load. This is a RA-100 100SCFM. Shawn
Thanks to Tom Borstorff from Van air, sent me a complete manual with schematic. I should be able to get it up and running, it looks like i will only have to replace a few electro components.....Assuming the compressor itself is good. :mwink:
