Doc here,

When you say "Old Style" Do you mean points or HEI non~Computer (pre ~1980)?

HEI is simple, just run a 10 gauge fused 40 amp wire from the Ignition switch to the terminal marked "Batt" on the Cap..

The other terminal marked "Tach" will be an 18 gauge white wire to your tach or tach Buffer (on a stock tach.)

Points are a little more involved.

Doc here,

Wire the "Hot in Run" wire from the ignition to a ballast resistor, Then ballast resistor to the + Side of the coil.

Wire the - side of the coil to the distributer.

Run a wire from the starter solenoid "I" or "R" terminal to the + side of the coil..This is your secondary ignition..

If you have a Tach, it goes to the - side of the coil..

Mount the coil on a good bonded ground and install a noise filter..

That should do it.
