Question Trucks TV ???

Does anybody watch TrucksTV ??? If anybody does then maybe yall can remember what gauge bezel he installed in project copperhead. It was a custom billet aluminum gauge bezel. Im redoing the interior in my truck, and i remember what it looks like, but thats about it.

Stacy is pretty good at answering e-mails. Way back when he had a partner on the show they did one on building a 331 hemi. You still see the motor sitting on an engine stand on some shows but the point is that some of the info they gave on that show was incorrect.

I wrote the show about it and a week later I got an e-mail from Stacy telling me he fired the other guy because he had a habit of ad-libbing the wrong info. Not too many people would have taken the time to do that.

I hate watching any of those shows on TNN (spike). They all seem to have the idea that we are all millionares. They have these great shops that none of us could ever afford and when it comes to costs, the answer is always "ONLY" $600 or "ONLY" $1000 or whatever. How about showing some regular guys that have to watch what they spend on their rigs, with regular tools and in a regular garage, with a floor jack and jack stands and can't buy new stuff whenever they have a wim. Of course, most of this stuff is probably given to them anyways.
Guess I'm just jealous.

your not the only one thats jealous, im really jealous, i live out in the boonies on a farm!!! i would love to have a shop like that "one day". on some of the shows, towards the end, they do advertise parts for average people, but their projects are always too expensive, and usually you dont see that much of a power gain. thats why i dont really look at what products their using, just how to do it.

If your going to take the time and watch, wouldnt you want to see them build an amazing car? Im sure the network isnt going to spend money on a car that isnt incredible. Those shows arnt ment to show you things you can never have. They are ment to inspire you to build your own dream machine. oh ya and that billet instrument bezel is from early classic enterprises.

alright well i went to earlyclassic.com and looked at their bezels, they only have two different types for that model, but i thought that they made it espceially for him, cause in the episode he said they relocated the turn signals and left out the clock. oh well as soon as i can get my e-mail back up then i'll e-mail him and ask him.

thanks,
classic

I agree that that price is no object on those shows. The thing that really got to me was the project Super Nova with the new GM performance parts 572, it was #1 of the production run. Then on Trucks, the Copperhead truck gets #2 of GM's 572.

Another problem I have is with NOPI TV, what a bunch of trash. Sport compacts with 20,000 watt stereos and X boxes....yawn. The girls are nice though. Also has anyone seen the program were the rap dude is touring all the hip hop culture icons cars. It makes my head hurt.

I enjoy the rapper show more than the NOPI one. I can't stand listening to those two morons tell us how "trick" and "tight" those damn oversize lawnmovers are. btw, who the hell needs 13 tvs in their car?

oops-a-daisy. I think the show i'm trashing isn't NOPI. SuperTuners maybe? i can't remember....

The point was, and was stated that money appers to be no object with these shows. Evertime they debut a new product it's like "it will only set you back about $900". Don't get me wrong, I like the shows, but they are not reality.
