Post Trunk Carpet Kits

Hiya folks!

I have a 57 Chevy 210 and Im looking to spruce up the looks of my trunk. What Im after is a trunk kit that you usually see in nice detailed show cars, where there is custom cut paneling that is covered in some sort of carpeting.
Its my assumption that someone out there is selling kits for this, especially the more popular cars (like my 57 chevy). Ive done a lot of searching on the net and havent found anyone doing this.

Does anyone know if anyone out there sells a kit like this?

Thanks!
Joe

Most of them are custom built. It is not that hard to build panels for you 57.plus you can make it look like you want it too.
but other then OEM stock mats I have not found any place that makes a trunk dress up kit for any car.

You need the black waterproof cardboard (door panel material) to make the panels for your trunk.
Check with your local upholstery shop and see what they'll charge to make up the panels and upholster or carpet them. You may be surprised how cheap it can be!

I just got a couple of really cool books about doing up interiors, and this one :
"Custom Auto Interiors" by Don Taylor & Ron Mangus
<a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1931128014/qid=1047018723/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-4537664-4269731?v=glance&s=books" target="_blank">http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1931128014/qid=1047018723/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-4537664-4269731?v=glance&s=books</a>

... shows in detail how to make patterns and then panels and how yo cover 'em and stuff. IF you want to do it yourself, this is the book that'll get you there.

Good luck.
