Not unless the hood is perfectly smooth, and you'd need industrial Velcro or it would peel right off as soon as the trunk got warm. If you glued it on, how would you get it off if you needed to? Use 3MM (just under1/8" thick) PVC foamboard, brand names Komatex, CelTec, Sintra, and Palight, which is available at sign shops and sheet plastic suppliers. It will easily curve to fit the trunk deck, and heating it with an industrial heat gun will make it hold that shape. Attach it with door panel clips, and make sure you put a couple clips right at the main curve line. Use the most lightweight carpet you can find.

No one lives forever, the trick is creating something that will.
