Trunk piston fitment
Hi guys,
I have a question on trunk piston fitment. I eliminated the springs (out of necessity) on the trunk hinges on a 61 Corvette, also the rear hatch. I know where I want the pistons, but don't know what length or strength to use. Is there a formula? I've contacted a manufacturer but they want pictures so they can tell me where to place them. I know where to place them, I just want to know what size I should get. I don't want to purchase a set and find out after I installed them that they are to weak to hold the trunk or the hatch open. Thanks, Ed |
