I have also tried several time to post a photo, but can't get it to work, I even printed the instructions from the help section to have right in front of me to make sure I did it right, no deal.

I am using mozilla as my browser, I wonder if that has anything to do with the problem.

Your picture needs to be posted on some web server before you can post it in a thread. AOL and many other web sites offer photo pages but they are too complicated for me to understand. Jon has provided us with a huge photo album so that is where I upload my photos. Go to your personal photo album (link at the top of this page). Follow the instructions on uploading - is is very easy to do, even I can do it! Only requirements are photo size (can't be too big - 2MB limit) and .jpg is the best format.

Once you have uploaded your picture, left click on it until it is highlighted. Then left click on it, choose "properties" from the drop-down menu, drag through and "CTL C" copy the http address (except for the stuff after the "?"). Here is an example of the address from my album "http://hotrodders.com/gallery/data/500/2439D3-4_rear3-med.jpg?5501"

Copy only this part "http://hotrodders.com/gallery/data/500/2439D3-4_rear3-med.jpg".

Now hit the IMG button at the top of the message page and "CTL V" paste the address in the pop-up box. That should embed your photo.

well guys, I stumbled upon your answer.
after trying to do this for a year, I made a file with the pictures i wanted to have for sending.my printer came with adobe photo deluxe but any format will work.when you scan the photo and get it up on your screen, go to edit at the top of the screen.put the arrow on the ones with the arrows , and somewhere it will ask save as, click on it and make it a jpeg file , then save it to your folder you created earlier. these will go in a smaller format making it easier to unload. don't forget to crop the image first to avoid getting it too big still.mike
you may have noticed I am completely self taught as far as this computer goes.lol

How do you control the size or area that the picture is allowed to use? That thing above me is TOO LARGE. But otherwise, I get the idea on how to post a picture.

To be able to post a pic:

It has to have a JPG extension.

A Bmp. or Bitmap will be too large.

The photo needs to be uploaded to the web somewhere so it (properties can be copied. You have to use the PROPERTIES. You CANNOT just click on a pic then click COPY.

You have to right click on the pic, click on properties, highlite the address of the pic, then when it is highlites, right click then copy.

Then you have to go back to a thread, click on POST REPLY. The when you get ready to type a message, instead look above where you type, click the IMG button. When that window pops up, put your mouse cursor in it then RIGHT CLICK then PASTE.

This should put the address of the picture with the proper IMG tags in the reply box. Hit submit and you should be good to go.

YO Kevin. Notice the picture I did above. It is very large. Anyway to make it smaller? I understand the how to post part know but I don't know how to keep it from being so big. It is from my digital camera, so it is a JPG to start with.

Hey Kevin. I finally was able to post a pic but is so small (exterior-cowl induction) that its useless. How do you get it to fill the reply page? Norm.
