Im going nuts with this question I put a 81 camaro rear end on my 41 chevy coupe and come to find out it was not the best choice for wide wheels. Im thinking two things tubbing? or wider rear fenders? ok 3 things tell me what you would do?
well heres my first attempt at widening my rear fenders I ran into some issue that I did not see. this was just yesterday so be kind lol pls check my pics out and enjoy a good laugh I can not figure out why the rear bottom came up short

The fender moved lower because of the slope of the extension. You may need to re-contour the lower section of the fender at the rear to bring it up, while keeping the flow of the body line.
I kind of realized my blunder now. Does anybody an idea of how to fix the back end one guy said to create a run to make the bumper straight to match the fender ?
You could fab a filler to blend the bottom the fender back to the tail panel, but it may not look right. Cut some cardboard and hang it on to get a visual of that.
I would use a floor jack and a block of wood to push up on the fender at the rear and see if it will reduce the slope from the body to fender and see if it looks right. It's only natural that the fender moved down from being extended away from the body 2", as the slope will cause that.
If pushing it up doesn't yield a satisfactory result, you're sort of left with sectioning the fender by removing material behind the wheel opening to raise the bottom edge up. That will be tricky, as again, it needs to be done in a way to "look" right.
Once you move a body line like that, you're into customizing the part that got moved to make it appear to not have been moved.
I love your determination. Your getting there that's pretty good so far.
Like I said its not just cutting a strip and welding it in ,everything changes. First off the fender is about a 1/2" low, in my opinion Remember ,You only thought you wanted 2 " ,mabee you want 2" up front tapered back to 1/2 " or 1" in back don't worry about the bottoms right now ,they'll have to be cut off anyway and remade. but you want to start with the top. I'm glad you used the drill screws but the hex head ones are much easier to use. conceder the strip you made strictly for mock up and take the fender back off ,leaving the strip on then bend the strip up with your hands about a 1/2' all the way around and screw the fender back on with about 3 screws ,that'll lift the fender up .next try a tapering it back a little then a little more until you get it where it looks best. DONT WORRY ABOUT THE BOTTOM. Not yet anyways.
I found a few pics of when I was mocking up my fenders ,you may get some ideas
