Turbo 400 yoke

Yes you can use the slip yoke. This is from the chevelle Tech site.
You can use a slip Yoke in the place of a Bolt on Yoke with no problems. The only difference is that some yokes are vented and some are not depending on output shaft groove. If it is grooved you'll need the O-ring seal to keep fluid from leaking out the vent, if you have a grooved ouput shaft and a non vented Yoke just leave off the O ring. If memory serves most converson Yokes are sealed and TH-400's with bolt on Yokes are known as TH 425's having straight cut pinion/spur gears within the planetary(=stronger). They were found in Buses, 1-2 ton Full size delivery Vans etc etc. HTH.

I say that the statement it being a 425 thm is wrong. The THM 425 was a front wheel drive trans used in the Olds Toronado and Cadillac Eldorado. Also used in 1973-78 GMC Motorhome.

400 Yoke

You have a 32 spline yoke. If you need to buy a yoke or have questions about it, these guys at Denny's Driveshaft can help you out. About a 1/3 of the way down the page of their site is what you need. Give them a call.
