Probably the most important thing is to add a 1/2 inch for every tuck you are going to have, to the overall length of material. Otherwise you'll come up short.

I know this is an old post, however I'm doing a T&R motorcycle seat cover and this advice was huge!!! It saved me a lot of time and frustration.
