Tuning Suggestions for a .30 over 350
Alright, i got a few questions for you guys. I jus obtained a 1969 Malibu, that had a 355 (bored 350) in it. it had flat top pistons, and a victor junior intake. as far as i can tell, the rest was stock. any suggestions to build some power? Theres this guy with an El Camino packin a 454, and i want to surprise him. Any suggestions?

heh, not quite too sure how well it would handle a plug or two of nitrous. Thats a pretty good idea though, way cheaper than a blower, but id rather have a blower, ill save tha for later <img src="graemlins/mwink.gif" border="0" alt="[mwink]" /> Well, i might hafta do that. how much is it for a dry fogger system? not too sure if i can find one for an edelbrock carb tho, all ive found so far are for holleys. Any ideas?

I thought you said in the engine forum that you didn't want a blower and didn't wanna cut up your hood to put a blower on....

oh, i wuz talkin like way in the future, if i ever go pro, aka. keep-it-off the street stuff. Blowers attract cops more than a free box of donuts
Plus, i think id get over the hood eventually, not sure if im gonna keep the body stock or no <img src="graemlins/mwink.gif" border="0" alt="[mwink]" />

it can attract cops all it wants, they still can't pull you over if you aren't breaking the law.

alright, ill probably get tons of different opinions on this, but should i go with a roots stule or a centrifugal? Roots run hotter, but centrifugals dont sound as cool *ponder* any suggestions would be helpful, then i gotta convince the folks to set me up with one, that could take some doin <img src="graemlins/mwink.gif" border="0" alt="[mwink]" />

You better be ready to pay more money than just the price of the blower. Think of the gas.... gotta buy the expensive stuff... and how is your economy gonna be with a blower? not too great. Also, your engine would have to be modified to handle the extra power etc. I still stick to my orinal thought of a shift kit, racing cams, intake, etc. to start off with and see what that car will do like that.

If you have a car that nice I wouldn't do anything to it to change the outer apearnce, that car is cherry. Since your folks are rollin in it keep that car the way it is and get a $3000 prodject and do all the things you want to do to it. Sounds to me like you have the time.
