Turbo 350 in a 66 ChevyII

Hi, never having gone the "bowtie" route before I need to ask a question.

My brother just bought a 66 ChevyII Wagon (very nice lil car) with a 350 motor and a powerglide tranny.

He's also looking at a donor car, that has among other things, a Turbo 350 trans. The owner of the donor car says the THM350 wont go into a 66 ChevyII. I find this hard, if not impossible, to believe.

So please clue us in, is there any reason to NOT use the 350 tranny?

Thanks,

Bob

The only real problem I can think of that may come up is with the rear trans mount. The TH350 will bolt up to the back of the engine with no problem. It should also be no real problem to solve the rear mount.
