Turbo 350 slipping at WOT.

Hello all. I have a 79 camaro with a tranny problem. The car drives fine when cruizing, but when I go all out, first to second is nice and tight "chirps the tires", second to drive is embarrasing, very slushy, slips bad! The trans fluid is full to the mark, it's clean, not burnt, and no foaming. What could cause this, and would a shift kit and type F help? Thanks guys.

The direct clutches are likely on their way out. A rebuild will evnetually be necessary. You MIGHT buy some time with a valve body kit but it would be a temporary fix at best.
