Yes ... you can change it ... if you can get the tailhousing off ...
Some vehicles ( custom mostly ) are built so the tailhousing is difficult to remove. Mine is NOT ...
Just remove the driveshaft, and the raise the transmission enough to get the tailhousing clear of the crossmember ( or remove the crossmember
) and remove the speedometer driven gear ... and the tailhousing should come right off ...
