Turbo mufflers/Db
I am putting the exhaust system on my new project(49 chevy trk-picture att.)& am seeking advice on a turbo muffler that i fairly quiet. I had 50 seres Flowmasters on my last project & they were too loud. Dual exhaust w/a H-pipe.It was difficult carrying on a conversation at any speed over idle.
Several yrs back(well probably 8-10 yrs) Hot Rod magazine compared turbos for both flow & DB's but I have not seen a update for the exesting mufflers. Whats been your experience w/turbo mufflers? Don

Flowmaster 60 series are quieter. But they cost more than the 50 series. Dynomax ultra flow mufflers are pretty quiet, but offer a nice rumble.

The dynomax superturbos are pretty quiet. My Borlas are very quiet at cruise but much louder than Flowmasters at WOT.

that page will be really useful. I have the Dynomax 17749's used in the test on my caprice. You can whisper in my car and passengers in the back seat will hear you. Interior noise is minimal untill I lay into the pedal, even then it's not loud inside. I'm really happy with them.
