Turbo Quad 4

Hey guys, I have a 1995 oldsmobile achieva sitting at home that I want some more power out of. Right now I have a 1981 T/A that I am working on getting on the road but I also want to make this little car have some bite. The thing is that I want to run this car during the crappy months here in canada and spare the T/A. But I dont wanna get eaten by everything on the road.

The Achievea has the 2.3l Quad 4 Ballance shaft engine. Backing it up we have the TH125 or a very slight chance of the TH440-T4 (I dought it though). Anyways, I dont wanna spend much money on the car since I rather put it towards the T/A. I am turning 16 next month and going for my G1 and I will end up driving the Achievea for a few months once I get my G2 untill the nice weather comes along and I can take the T/A out

Anyways, My plans for the Achievea are to find a used turbo off kijiji or from the scrap yard, fab up my own exaust manifold and run it. The engine has 9:5:1 cr so I was wondering how much boost I can run without needing the ECU reflashed. As for the engine, It has 92k on it and it was taken VERY good care of since new.

So what do you guys think? What should I look out for? What turbo? and how much power can I push without needing the ECU reflashed?

Thanks alot guys,
Adam

Thanks alot DV I hadn't seen this site before. What would you say a safe boost level would be with the cr at 9:5:1. Also, what turbo should I be looking for?
