turbo/super charger

What are some commonly found cheap turbos or blowers found in junkyards that are going for pretty cheap? They need to fit engines between around 230 and 300 ci.

It may be going on a 292 straight six... depending.

MP90 or MP112 are production superchargers that are available. The mp90 is more available then the mp112 for sure. It came on 97-04 grand prix gtp and buick SES. The mp90 were designed for 3.8L engines. For a turbo you would have to map out a compressor map and see how much your engine needs and such.

In my area the 3.8 Buick turbos are around. Same with the 3800 superchargers. But they should not be run with fuel going thru them..

Turbos

find an old 300zx or especially a 280z turbo set up cheap and pretty much basic on the 280z. ive converted a small chevy inline with 280z turbo system. you should check into it. other than that call a turbo specielties shop and tell them what you want and they can map it out for you and tell you what all you need.

Would it work or would it spool up too late to do much during normal driving?

maybe

it could work but i would go with a large intercooler and an adjustable boost control valve plus without looking at it idk if it really has a iwg or ewg. But it should do fine with your motor but you will still need a professional to map it out for you and tell you exactly what you need and what goes where. BUT like i said i cant really identify the brand, pitch on blades, bearing type, or actual size so i would w8 and get a new one that you know what you're buying...

eaton

eaton is a good brand plus a s/c can be alot less technical is your motor going to be fuel injected or carbureted.

no you will need something a street demon. try Speedwaymotors.com they have quite a bit of stuff for inlines and a eaton m90 will serve you best if you want a eaton but there are twinscrew superchargers made for carburated applications and they are also on speedway. if you use an eaton you will need a adapter plate of adaption spacer.

Here's that same turbo(i think) on Alaska list:

http://alaskaslist.com/1/posts/10_Tr..._1_15_A_R.html

It has all measurements, everything, it's a t4 for $150. Good deal? will it spool up right with the 292?
