Turbo transplant into camaro
I am working on restifying a 1987 Camaro and was considering a 3.8L Turbo swap. A friend told me that in 1989 there was a Turbo Trans Am that used the same drivetrain as the Grand Nationals. Where would I be able to find more information on a swap like this?

Your friend is correct. Even though many thought these Pontiacs were ugly as sin..they sure went like stink! I'd try any Pontiac dealer first, then any of the Pontiac-oriented aftermarket suppliers. I'd think this would be a fairly straight forward proposition for you.

I believe those were the "GTA Firebirds". Unless I'm mistaken, they only came in a couple color's like white and black. Not positive though. Hope this helps, Mitch...
