Turn Signal

I have a 66 Mustang. The Turn signal switch was bad and I had it replaced. The guy that replaced it cut the wires from the harness between the column and plug. He attached the wires now when I turn on the right turn signal it flashes front and rear. If I turn on the left signal the front and left flash and so does the rear right signal. I have no brake lights when brake is applied. What can I do to correct this, when I confronted the mechanic he stated everything worked fine when it left the shop. It looks like the new wires color coding isn't the same color code as original. How can I correct?

Doc here,

Sounds to me like the guy that wired it up didn't have a Clue..Or was color blind..

The wires that you should have from the lamps , should be as follows..

IF the wire color coming OUT of the switch differs , He put in the WRONG switch, remove , and replace it with a proper switch, then follow the wire colors.

Doc
