Turn signal indicators - both light up now

OK, I was partially through wiring up the front clip using an all black EZwire kit (circuit name printed every 6" on each wire)

And I had the front turn signals working right, and the dash indicators for them too... blinking, slowly, since there was no rear lights hooked up to provide resistance...

I've since had to shorten the two indicator light wires and now when I try them, both indicators come on at the same time... and the front turn signals don't work.

What do I have crossed that would make both indicators light up (but not blink) at the same time? I didn't remove any of the wires for the front turn signals...
