turn signal shortage

Well since my 96 caprice was crashed on the 13th of August I've been driving my 87 caprice. When I hit on the brakes the park lights come on. The dash and everything lights up. When I turn my left turn signal on my right signals come on too. Also when I hit on brakes that ding ding noise comes on like I left the lights on and took the key out the ignition. When my headlights are on that ding noise is constantly going and drives my crazy. Somebody help me

grounds

[size=3]Doc here

Sounds like you have some mighty big ground issues going on there, back-feeding into other circuits...Pull the dash and clean corrosion from all the connectors, and test all the grounds...

Go to the fuse box and look for blown fuses, I bet you'll find a few...

Clean the Steering column Plug and turn signal well of all dirt and corrosion.

Look for cut or shorted wires..

You might also look for a single contact bulb 1156, in a double 1157 socket in the rear?
