Turn signal switch on column
My turn signal switch went bad and had to replace it on the 49 chevy.
It has a 1980's tilt wheel (just quessing) a 1986 chevy van turnsignal switch was the same that I had. Anyhow when I took the steering wheel off they had a aftermarket hub on the steering shaft. This is were my streering wheel bolts to using 3 bolts and the middle nut that is on steering shaft. I pulled this hub off. There is not a plate under it that has the spring that I have read about on the arcive post on steering columns I have the spring but not the plate. My turn signals never did cancel when you straighten out the wheel. My question is what cancels the signal. Is there something on that plate that does it. Mark |
